The A&FRC – Airman and Family Readiness Center – is the service organization for military members and military family members.
The A&FRC provides services in four areas:
1. The information and referral, counseling and follow-up.
2. Coordination and consultation with other base and civilian agencies to strengthen base policies and programs, all in an effort to benefit military members and family members.
3. Assistance for base leadership in their efforts to meet member and family needs.
4. Family life education and skills program.
The Air Force realizes there is a direct relationship between a member’s ability to successfully accomplish a mission, and the quality of life which his or her family experiences. Because of this relationship, many programs and policies are available to promote a positive family environment. The A&FRC helps enhance quality of life for military members and/or family members. The A&FRC also helps commanders meet their responsibilities for the health and welfare of every member of the Air Force family.

Family Child Care Providers Wanted:
Providers are needed for special needs children, shift work, weekend duty and daytime care. Become a licensed or affiliated child care provider and earn extra income. You may be licensed or affiliated to provide this care in your home if you are: an active duty or retired military spouse, the spouse of a military member who has seperated from the service or a Department of Defense employee. Call Carol Southworth at 759-5783.
Announcement:
To base housing residents, a license is required for providing child care in any base housing unit. Child care is defined as caring for other families’ children for more than 10 hours a week. (Example: four children for three hours, one afternoon is twelve hours), on a regular basis in an assigned government housing unit. There are a few exceptions to this definition that the Family Child Care staff would be happy to discuss with you. If you have questions or know someone providing child care without a license, call the Family Child Care office at 759-5783.
