The Before and After School Age Program offers a high quality develop-mentally appropriate program for school-agers whose parents are meeting the mission of McConnell AFB. The program received accreditation in 2000 from the National Afterschool Alliance (NAAs) and was the first program in the state of Kansas to become accredited. The program plans learning activities appropriate to school age development such as reading and writing stories, creative art, homework hour, drama, dance, sewing, computer lab and numerous community service projects throughout the school year. A Summer Camp for all-day care is offered during the summer months when school is closed. Field trips include swimming, horseback riding, bowling, and weekly field trips throughout the state of Kansas to enrich and educate our children on the state they live in. Growth is achieved through new experience and challenge; this is the atmosphere we strive to provide for your child. Love and nurturing from a well trained staff encouraging your child’s spirit to soar. The program serves children in kindergarten through sixth grade. We seek to provide a variety of activities that include independent and organized group play, as well as, active and passive intellectual growth experiences. Learning and playing in a healthy environment is every child’s right.
