It is nearing time for the Family Services annual TOY GIVEAWAY. Each year through the Airmen’s Attic, Bldg 804, a toy is provided for every child in the family of an E-5 and below. Every year this tremendous program ensures that each child will have at least one toy for Christmas. The program will start on December 8th and run through December 19th. Last year the program assisted 345 children of military members E-5 and below.Read more >

From October 1 – November 15, Wichitians will be encouraged to read and discuss Willa Cather’s “My Antonia.” The novel’s themes of prairie and the taming of the land, memory and the immigrant experience in America are ones which will be developed not only in book discussions, but also through special programs sponsored by Big Read partners in the Wichita area. McConnell Library has partnered with the city of Wichita for this “One Book, One Community” event and free books are available at the Library.
